CentralCoastKids started as a list of local activities for my husband so that he and my daughter could have some fun outings while I was working at home building websites. As I am a web engineer by profession, CentralCoastKids evolved into a website and was launched in 2002 for the convenience of all families living or visiting the area.

CentralCoastKids continues to be run and maintained by locals on the Central Coast. We love where we live and we want to share it with you. We strive to give you great information all in one place to save you time and give you ideas with a local perspective. Travel agents don't know that there are ducks in the creek behind Tom's Toys in San Luis Obispo, or that Barney Schwartz Park in Paso Robles has (what I think) one of the coolest play structures in the county. We live and play here - I really mean it when I say "See you out there!"
