With exciting lights and sounds, this 1:24-scale Batmobile is a lot like the one in the movie. It comes with an R/C controller styled like a bat-gadget that attaches to your belt. With steering in forward and reverse, you can get Batman out of any jam. Do a j-turn, hit the lights, and off you go. Batteries included. Measures 7" x 2.5" x 3.87".

Summary: Decent Model, Not So Decent Toy
Comment: I was pretty disappointed with this as an R/C car. It's not completely obvious from looking at the controller what the buttons do. From playing with it, it seems like the top-left and bottom-right buttons both propel the vehicle forward. The bottom-left button makes it turn clockwise and go in revers at the same time, and the top-right button just makes it flash its lights and make some noise.

So to clarify, the vehicle can only move in 2 directions: it can move forward in a straight line or it can go in reverse and turn to the left (that's right, you can't go straight back... reverse always turns to the left, and that's the only way to turn as well).

It's also worth mentioning that it's not radio controlled, it uses light like most TV remote controls. That means you have to be pointing the controller towards the vehicle and maintaining a clear line of sight for it to operate. However, this didn't seem to be as big of a problem as the instructions made it sound.

The car does look nice though, at least. You could pop the batteries out and sit it on your shelf, but I'd think you should just buy an actual model if that's all you want.

Children under 5 might not be bothered with the lack of control, but then this thing doesn't seem terribly durable either. The back fins seemed especially cheap, like I could tear them off if I tugged on them.

I'm afraid I couldn't recommend this to anyone.
