Summary: oh look, the cape crusader!!! No, that's Batman. LOL
Comment: I must admitt that this final season kind of lost its super strength. I'm not saying that it didn't have any great moments, because it did! It just lacked one very important thing or theme and a main Villain. let me explain!!

Seasons 1-3 of Lois and Clark were fantastic! The chemistry of Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher in this show was breathtaking. Each episode had that feeling of strength behind them. Thats why I love this show so much. Lois would some how lose her memory, and get cloned to death by some idot most of time. which kind of annoyed me because it would happened a lot through out the series. Dean Cain was the BEST Superman/Clark Kent. He played Clark Kent with feeling. I really enjoyed his acting during this series.

So..... the main villain thing never happend after John Sea(Lex Luthor) left the series in Season 1. He did come back for a couple of episodes. Some guests villains from the comics did show up which made some episodes memorable. But sadly never lasted! The villain Tempest( a time travel villain) was my favorite. I just wished they would have stick with main villain for each season.

In closing, This show is a must own!! The memories of this show will forever be apart of me, because I'm die-hard Superman Fan. Lois and Clark the new adventures of superman is classic TV. You need to own this show.

Summary: Good, but not the best year
Comment: I love most things Superman, so it would have to be really bad to get a bad review from me. Lois & Clark combined romance with the Superman character, so they had a viewer in me! Like so many shows, the last year had a much more dramatic feel to it than the more comic way in which they started. There were still idiotic, evil characters, but Dean Cain & Teri Hatcher played it straight, which is the only way some of the episodes didn't seem totally ridiculous. It didn't have any of the comic book feel.
I missed Teri Hatcher playing it for laughs. Her character got very serious in the later shows. I missed ther ability to make you laugh one minute and capture a dramatic moment the next. Part of that was by getting them married, a lot of the competition and sexual tension was completely irradicated. I think if they made them still very competitive in the marriage, there might have been more to key off to make things interesting.

What I liked about Lois & Clark was that the show was about "Clark Kent". I loved how they explored that side of him. He was, after all, posing as a human since we was found as an infant. Christopher Reeve's portrayal made Clark act geekish. No other Superman had ever been portrayed that way, so it wasn't out of character for Dean to play him as a Clark desireous of being human, but wanting to help mankind with his abilities.

While I loved the romance, I think putting them together as a married couple lost a lot of the audience (i.e. teenage boys who probably didn't get off on all the smooching that went on after the 2nd season). I think at that point, it definitely became a woman's show!

Smallville was different from this show in that they did put Clark together with his girlfriend Lana. I think if they let Clark fly, the show would have already ended. Lois & Clark eliminated all the surprise, the competition between the two characters, and any sexual tension once they were married. I was sorry it ended without resolving their childless situation. Obviously the writers were setting it up for Season 5, which never happened. I guess no one was interested in the further adventures of Lois & Clark & Baby.

Summary: Lois and Clark, if you loved the 90's...
Comment: The fourth and final season saw some of the high and low points of the series. The New Krypton story was a mix of laugh out loud and stupid as all get out moments.

The guest stars were less inspired than in previous seasons. Drew Carey as a guest star seemed to me to be an attempt at human product placement.

If you are hoping for an end to the series then expect there to be a moment of disappointment. There was supposed to be a fifth season but ABC Disney worked as hard as they could to kill the show. The last episode, talk about a cliffhanger.

In all, this set is not worth the 40 dollar plus price tag but if you can pick it up for under $25 as I did then go for it. Its still fun after all these years.

Summary: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !
Comment: My complaint isn't with the show itself. It's with Warner Home Video. I purchased this DVD from Amazon. It arrived shortly thereafter. However, when I opened it, it had two disc ones, and NO disc two. I called the customer service number on the box and explained the situation. They were very polite and said they were a "fulfillment" company but would forward the problem to Warner Home Video.

To make a long story short, I have called a total of five times since early December, and been totally ignored. ALL I WANT IS THE RIGHT DISC. Perhaps Warner Home Video is so big it can ignore customers with impunity, but as a lifelong Superman geek, I'm terribly disappointed.

WARNER HOME VIDEO, DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS?

Editorial Reviews:

Lois Lane and Clark Kent saved the best for last. In their final season, they finally get married. There are a few roadblocks along the highway to marital bliss: a worlds-at-war battle with Lord Nor; an adventure-packed encounter with the Wedding Destroyer, who believes folks are better dead than wed; and even wedding-night interruptus compliments of time-traveling H.G. Wells. But before or after the shoes and rice, all 22 fourth-season episodes zing with Lois & Clark's action/comedy blend.
