Summary: Real-life not perfect Thomas!! my 2 boys' favorite.
Comment: My 2 year old asks for this every day. This video was a gift from Grandma and the only purchased one we own (we record the PBS airings if we don't catch it live). I love the narrator, Michael Brandon. Our other favorite is "New Friends for Thomas". I like that Thomas is not always perfect like some other kid's show characters. My 4 yr old takes comfort in that and learns also the importance of putting things right in the end. ALso shows dealing with all different kinds of personalities which is much more realistic than the "everyone is nice" world of so much on kids' TV today.

Summary: Great for Boys
Comment: Both my sons, ages 4 and 20 months, are addicted to anything Thomas, so they love this DVD. It's not bad, sort of educational since it tries to teach morals. I, myself, don't care for Thomas much, but it keeps my boys happy. One of the better DVDs though, is Songs from the Station, which I highly recommend for any Thomas fans, and it's the least annoying.

Summary: What Happened???
Comment: This is one of the worst thomas videos I have ever seen. I've been watching Thomas ever since it was first started oh so long ago, and the episodes don't even go right, Henry loves coaches, Diesel shouldn't even be on the railroad anymore because Sir Topham Hatt said on Diesel Does It Again, "I shall not be bringing you back again", and where, oh where is the Driver and Fireman? Instead of one of my favorite theme song, we get what seems like some drunk guy playing a keyboard. If your kids like Thomas, do them a favor and BUY the older, better ones.

Summary: What was HIT thinking?
Comment: This, in my opinion, is one of the worst Thomas videos ever made. Instead of the familier opening jingle, there is this strange, circus like tune. The episodes clearly had no thought put into them, those stupid games in between the episodes, that can't even participate in, were completly pointless, and the narration was terrible.
I understand that Thomas more of little kids thing, this is really going to far. I grew up with Thomas throughout the 90's and the early 2000's and this isn't it. Thomas is supposed to be something for the whole family, not just something for kids under the age of 4. The last Thomas video I purchased was the release after this (Thomas and the Jet Engine). i found it slightly more bearible than this one but wouldn't give it more than 3 stars. Thomas has taken the wrong track this time and I hope he finds his way back soon.
Though this is no where near comparable to the videos of the 90's and the early 2000's, if you have young Thomas fans who don't know the works of Carlin or Starr or even Baldwin, buy this for them, I don't like it, but then again I am 12 and Thomas has gone through some horrible changes in the past year or two.

1.Thomas to the rsecue.Desel tese thomas becuse hes a steam engine but wean the desel fuel gets low will thomas help the diesels.5.5 no promblems with this story
2.henry and the wishing tree.Thomas tells henry about a wishing tree that can grant pepoles wishis but wean henry wishsis that he can pull the express he put gorsen in the repir yards can henry save gorden.2.5 This story has nothing to do with diesels why put it in?
3.squeak rattle and roll.Gorden starts to make squeaking sounds one day diesel says gorsen will be turned in to scrap but what will gorden do wean sir topham hatt rides the express one day.4.5
this story chould have benn beteer at times
4.percys new whistle. ary and bert make fun of percys whistle but percy makes a loud whistle he starts useing it everywhare but he gets in trouble for cusing acdeints but will he use it to save thomas from a pille of snow.5.5 this story had lots o excting parts in it.
and thats what i think of stemis vs diesls i hope you enjoy it.
