Summary: Nice TMCC Train Set
Comment: This is a TMCC train set. TMCC allows you to run your train via remote control. If you want more info on TMCC, then go to the Lionel web site for a detailed explanation. To take advantage of this feature you will also need to buy a cab-1 remote and a powermaster (Lionel 12969 available on Amazon). Sold together they cost about one hundred twenty five dollars. The engine is the same body style as the polar express, but it has a better motor that runs more smoothly. It also comes with a tender that has train sounds. The train sounds include chuffing, breaking, whistle, crew talk and bell. Again, it's a step up from the basic polar express engine. It is more money than a basic Lionel set, but the remote control makes the set a lot more fun to run. It also comes with the basic loop of fastrack, a nice transformer, a tanker, box car, coal car and a lighted caboose.
