Summary: Not the best table for the job
Comment: The main trouble with this table is that you have to lift the building surface in order to reach the legos inside. This means that your child will have to dump the legos into something else (or on the floor) if he wants to build on top of the table. And he will have to move the top in order to put legos away, even if he wants to leave some fixed structure on the table. Lego tables with bags or pull-out tubs just work better.
Also, as another reviewer said, the blocks don't fit as well as they could.

Summary: Not so "Lego compatible".
Comment: Our 2 1/2 year old loves building with his "big boy" Lego's, so we ordered him this table, but the board is not as Lego compatible as it could be. Our 2 1/2 year old has a hard time sticking his Lego's to this board, but has no problems sticking his Lego's on his Lego brand boards. If you line up the Lego brand boards next to the boards on this table, you'll see that they don't line up exactly the same. The boards this table uses are not that compatible with Lego's, therefor I don't recommend it to the really young ones who don't yet have the strength and control to really push down on the small Lego's.
