Customer Rating: Summary: Emphasis on Spelling dilutes fun for preschoolers! Comment: This toy asks kids what letter does balloon start with? This is too advanced for a preschooler. I WISH it had levels or gave me the ability to limit the questions to color & shape. The computer COULD HAVE BEEN a good lead way into real computers for kids but as it is now it is only a source of frustration. We will put this toy in the growing pile of toys to pull out next year, or the year after that, and hope they still work.
If you are looking for a computer type toy for a young child I do not think you can go wrong with My First Leap Pad by Leap Frog.
Customer Rating: Summary: My son loves it!! Comment: My son totally loves it and you should hear him squeal when, he sees it. I would recommend it. There are different events your child can partake in. My only regret is, it does not have enough activities but overall, its a great learning tool!
Customer Rating: Summary: Lots of fun for four-year old Comment: Both my four year-old and three year-old granddaughters really enjoy this toy. It has enough simple tasks, like identifying colors and shapes, that even the younger one spends lots of time on the "computer." The spelling questions are a bit beyond both girls right now but it gives them some room to grow and continue the fun. Plus I like it that the computer has two volume settings and is so durable.
Customer Rating: Summary: Challenging Comment: This is actually a pretty decent toy, however, it is currently too difficult for my just-turned-three year olds. The 'computer' asks them to identify shapes and colors, but then expects them to spell words. They are not even using the learning cards anymore, but just turn it on to press the letters on the keyboard. I'm sure they will grow into it, but it is a little disappointing that it is too challenging for them to enjoy now, even with my assistance.
Customer Rating: Summary: Right for the price! Comment: We bought this as a Christmas present for our 2 year old so she would leave us alone while we worked on our laptops. She loves changing out the activity cards, but that's about the extent of which she utilizes it. It is definitely for an older child which we knew when purchasing it. Pooh says things such as "what does the word 'balloon' start with?"which is way past her. But, we are working on identifying letters and numbers with her, so it is useful in that sense. Hopefully she will continue to use it as her knowledge of letters and spelling grows! The storage compartment for the cards is a little hard to open - handy but difficult.
